Here's the latest on what we've been working on behind the scenes to make ClickRewards work better for you.

Redeeming for AAdvantage Miles
At ClickRewards, we are always looking for new ways to better service our customer's needs and we know that prompt delivery of redemption items is an effective way of accomplishing that. With that in mind, we've recently teamed up with American Airlines to automate the receiving process each time you redeem 500 ClickMiles for 500 AAdvantage Miles.

In the past, receiving a voucher in the mail for your AAdvantage Miles could take up to 6 weeks. With this new process in place, you will receive your Miles almost immediately - they will be directly deposited into your American Airlines Account within a couple of days of our receiving your redemption request.

New Shopping Categories
We're always trying to make the site easier to use. One of the ways we're doing this is by adding new categories to the 'Earn ClickMiles' box on the left-hand side of the page. These new categories are built around themes instead of items. The idea is that these categories group merchants together in different ways in response to what you might be searching for.

The first of these new themed categories are Bargains, Family, Lifestyles, Shoes, Treat Yourself and Weddings.

We hope that this helps to make it even easier to earn ClickMiles.



Latest Merchants Page
Along similar lines, we've created a new web page so that you can instantly see which merchants have most recently joined ClickRewards.

The link to this page is also located in the 'Earn ClickMiles' box. It's sandwiched in between Earn Faster!, featuring multiple mile-earning opportunities, and Shopping Tools, our list of fun and useful sites that make shopping online a little more fun and a lot more secure.

We suggest that you check this link every week to see who's new. (We don't add new merchants every week but you can definitely expect to see lots of new choices.)


Special Offers
It's been up for a while now, but we haven't really explained that new column over on the right hand side of the home page.

We spend part of each week combing the 'net, looking for offers that are a bit better than the usual, and use that space to tell you about them without you having to dig through the site.

We're looking for great prices on popular items and special sales, and we'll always let you know about anywhere you can get free shipping!

If there's something in particular you'd like us to keep an eye out for, let us know. We'll do the searching and you can do the shopping.


Customer Service
We recently discovered a major bug with the software that we use to handle our Customer Service enquiries. (Part of the problem was that we discovered we had received over 70,000 identical emails from a single email address in a 24-hour period that had flooded our servers.)

There was no threat to site security, and no violation of member privacy. Just a big mess in our servers. The most serious problem this has caused is that we can't be sure that we have received all of the customer service emails that have been sent to us since we re-launched the site in May. We realize that this has caused some concern and we very sincerely apologize to our members for this and for any inconvenience this outage has caused.

(Just to complicate things, we also had a much smaller glitch in the software that awards ClickMiles, making negative balances appear in some members' account. This has now been fixed.)

We've shut the email system down, upgraded and reinstalled the software, and we've been working hard at answering emails since we got the system back up and running late last week.

We want our members to know that, if you have sent us an email and did not receive a response, it is in no way any reflection on ClickRewards' long-term plans. More importantly, this was not any indication of how we want to treat our members: we have tried to make respect for the members the yardstick against which we measure what we do around here.

We realize that this problem has made that sound like a lot of hooey but we still mean it and hope that the members will give us the time to prove it.

Shopping Tools
When we say we want to make earning ClickMiles safe as well as fun, we mean it. So we've provided links to some tools and web sites that we thought might be useful to our members.

These aren't paid links and we don't get anything out of them. But as part of our commitment to safe online shopping, we thought they were worth having a look at.


Redeeming ClickMiles
The best part of ClickRewards is redeeming your ClickMiles for rewards.

We're always adding new rewards but we've paid special attention to reward items at lower point values so that if you want, you can redeem your ClickMiles sooner for useful items that you can give as gifts or keep for yourself.
